The story...

In the summer of 1996 I was working at a very posh resort at Myrtle Beach, SC. At that time I did not really know who Howard Stern was, even though he was on our local 104.5 FM station.

One evening when I reported for work the General Manager advised the PM staff that a VIP named ''Howard Stern'' was in the house. Well, I did not have a clue, but I had heard that name before.

About 10:00 at night I went out to the deck area on my break and there was a couple talking by the pool, all alone-no guests were around; a rather lanky male with hair sort of pulled back under a hat and a blond woman. I did not know who they were but said ''Good evening''. Well, he had a question about the area and said his brother in law lived here in town. I asked where he was from and he was amused, and said ''LONG ISLAND, DUDE!'' just like that. He was really nice, and so was the woman. It was not until years later when I started to watch the E-show and listen to Howard Stern that I realized that DAMN, that was him and Allison!!!! It turned out that her brother lived and worked in Myrtle Beach!!! If only I had known....anyway, Howard is a nice guy when he is out of character.
