Howard's verbally abusive father. In the movie ''Private Parts'' Howard said his father's favorite sport was yelling. He was a recording engineer when Howard was a child. He would sometimes bring Howard and the rest of the family to his recording studio to make recordings. Howard would eventually find those recordings and play them on his radio show. The recordings captured infamous Ben Stern sayings such as ''Shut up! Sit down!'', ''I told you not to be stupid you moron!'' and ''What's the matter, are you stupid?''
